No worries, the maid in cover is not a slave or at least there have been no concept of slavery yet as of 20 chapters for this review.
Also 2 base is not what everyone think like many titles going back and forth between worlds, it only means between the royal capital and a village.

Meh on The Last Adventurer
It's not bad but it's not good either.
Story : 7/10
Plot : 5/10 if you want to see the MC and party get beat up repeatedly, and I mean that quite literally, read it. Every fight follows the typical shounen format - Go under-prepared > meet strong enemy > get beaten to pulp > deploy plot armour in the form of some ridiculously convenient power up or item > win .
And this goes not just for the MC... But literally for all his teammates as well. The fights weren't too long at the beginning, but the latest big fight arc stretched for what seemed like forever with no MC in sight.
MC : 6/10 he started out well. He seemed like a smart character...but he wasn't. Despite knowing the future, despite facing countless enemies, he's never prepared in any of the fights, always gets separated from his crew, and always gets gravely injured 😐. Nothing makes sense.
Crew : They're ok but also the same as MC. Other than the healer, the rest of em are pretty much surviving thanks to their plot armours.
In short, read it if you want just the action and no story. If you want a decent plotline, be prepared to be annoyed and disappointed.

It's okay at first good plot good art but ugh man that this sh it gets ugly fast the fl and ml personality is just not it the ml is too coc ky disrespectful and the fl is just like a litterla child and there is more to it and to the dear f author this is just an awf ul comic I know that you are g oon ing to it at night but can't proof it. I am so sorry for th artist for wasting his time on this and the translator and other people. This comic should be in a adult site not here no no not here because it's all about corn .
