Pretty good on My School Life Pretending To Be a Worthless Person
Hi babe. It's me, Ivern: most definitely NOT a deranged madman who gets off on burying people under walls of text. Horknee for action? Aren't we all.
This is kinda original as a premise. Edeya: the shape of the soul, made tangible. Everything that can be appreciated has value, and so humans did what humans do best: establish a nonsensical hierarchical order that stifles talent and favors corruption. And put schools under military rule, too, cause we are quirky like that.

Does it live up to its potential? Mostly. The art is okay, but I found the design a bit too toned down. The characters are well drawn and differentiated, the action is actually good, but the edeya themselves are visually lacking. Not a big deal, since their powers are kinda particular and original, while the power system is sound: I felt MC's dangerous killing intent and deranged feel, and that's what counts. That is what needed to be conveyed first and foremost for the story to work.
I like the angle they decided to take, too. Tackling a dark, uncontrollable trauma, make what happened to you a part of you, without being dominated by it. What I don't like is the writing. It's not a problem with the translation either, I checked. It's kind awkward, and I'm saying this about an action manga: it means that the standards for it are already relaxed. A pity, too, since I genuinely like what I've seen of the cast. They are diverse, and reasonably complex. Especially MC, a murderous, lovable goofball.
It's a nice underdog story, but it could have been executed even better. Still, a full 4 stars, a 8+ on the Ivern Scale™️.

Rocks on Otome Game No Hametsu Flag Shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou Ni Tensei Shite Shimatta...
This is just too adorable and funny. Katarina is bafflingly oblivious at times, but she's still the best
