Meh on Smartphone Addict
Since I have finished reading this manhwa, this is my review of this story:
Plot: 5/10
Characters: 4/10
Development: 2/10
Overall: 5/10
⚠️Spoilers(?)⚠️
This plot had so much potential but ultimately it went downhill. Personally, I was really excited for the story but I'm quite disappointed how it turned to be.
Plot
Zell, the cellphone which can turn into a human being, made a bucket list for MC to do within a time frame for her own good. She tried fooling around first but realised it wouldn't work so actually put some effort into it. For example: Studying & making friends. Without Zell, her life would've been pretty bad cuz she had no motivation to do anything other than playing with her phone. Zell gave the push she needed.
Relationships
Relationship between Damu and Yeonu was pretty forced. Honestly, 0 chemistry. They would've been better off as friends. Zell and Damu had more chemistry than the actual boyfriend.
She had somewhat sour relationship with her dad too. Idk if it's any better now but it certainly did improve.
Side couple was cute!!

Spoiler!
Ending was entirely disappointing. Since Zell wasn't the male lead, the author should've let him go back to being a phone but in the end he became a human being which makes no sense and adds absolutely nothing to the story. He has no family, no documents, no house, no job, no human emotions, no lovers. Nada, nothing. Pitiful ending tbh...

Rocks on Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai
Started reading this after watching the anime because I needed to know what happened after the cliffhanger ending!
The main characters are complex, likeable and you really root for them. The uke is a very damaged individual but he never takes this out on anyone else, only himself. The seme is very earnest and sweet. It's definitely a slow burn but the sizzle is always there; there are a lot of subtle signs (think lingering looks, off-hand comments).
There aren't a lot of s** scenes and they're not very graphic so if that's all you want then this isn't for you. But if you want a clever story about complicated people then you won't be disappointed.
The only things I struggled with were the more complex parts of the yakuza story and keeping track of who everyone was. Some of the characters look very similar and I couldn't even use hairstyle, age or tattoos as a reference point because of the use of flashbacks where these things were (obviously) not consistent.
Can't wait to see what happens next but considering how slow the updates are I think I'll be waiting a long time!
