He tried stopping it but each time she died and each time he sacrifices his life force to return his life force. I know he is not the ml here but this is truly heartbreaking when you read the novel (if I didn't read the novel I would hate the original ml to death :( but also, I am to be honest kind of frustrated as well since I can see some plot holes in the plot
