BASED ON THE HIT NOVEL ON TAPAS! King Grey has unrivaled strength, wealth, and prestige in a world governed by martial ability. However, solitude lingers closely behind those with great power. Beneath the glamorous exterior of a powerful king lurks the shell of man, devoid of purpose and will. Reincarnated into a new world filled with magic and monsters, the king has a second chance to relive his life. Correcting the mistakes of his past will not be his only challenge, however. Underneath the peace and prosperity of the new world is an undercurrent threatening to destroy everything he has worked for, questioning his role and reason for being born again.

artwork 10/10, plot 10/10 fantastic story with some unique plot points and for those that keep complaing that Arthur is OP thats the point that the whole reason he was rencarnated as a child with his memories to be come even stronger then he was, he is a weapon and this time he has something other then his own survival to fight for, mentally speaking dudes like a 100 and for pretty much all of that he has been fighting and training.

Kinda bad
the falloff for this is actually crazy. the beginning was good, but honestly, the signs of the author transforming arthur into the typical dogshit overpowered action-fantasy mc were there from the beginning. villains and even the most minor of antagonists lack depth-- many seem to exist for the sole sake of being "evil" so arthur can triumph over them-- and the same stands for the side casts and deurotagonists. underdeveloped characters, some with interesting backstories, who only really seem to exist to make arthur look better.
i love a good generic power fantasy at times, and i also enjoy a few cliches here and there, but this has just become so watered down that i genuienly can't read without a bad taste in my mouth. tbate d-riders, i get it: this started off great and got you attached to the mc quickly, but please genuinely take a step back and reflect on the quality of the work you're consuming.
im not going to waste my time finishing a mid manhwa and new readers, i encourage you to try it, but if you're looking for something that's actually "peak", this is not it.

Despite it's "flaws" and others' negative perception about it, it will always be one of the most beautiful and creative manhwas I have ever read.
Please give it a chance. It's rare to find manhwas with a gorgeous art and wonderful storytelling :)

TBATE is a web novel-turned-webcomic that honestly started strong but lost its spark over time.
Reincarnation? Check. Overpowered protagonist? Check. Magic academy? Check. Political intrigue? Check. I mean, while it doesn’t break new ground in terms of originality, it starts off well and gives you hope that it might evolve into something greater.
The early arcs are fun, with Arthur learning magic, training, and slowly building relationships. Then…it nosedives. The pacing becomes inconsistent, sometimes dragging with endless training sequences, sometimes rushing major events. The academy arc, for example, had potential but felt like a filler compared to the bigger threats looming in the background. And then the time skip? That’s where many people feel the story goes downhill.
Arthur is a solid protagonist at first...capable but flawed. However, as the story progresses, he starts to feel less like a person and more like a walking power fantasy (like solo leveling MC). Side characters? Some, like Tessia, are so underdeveloped despite their importance. Others, like Sylvie, are wasted potential. The villains are also pretty generic.
The romance is meh...Arthur and Tessia’s relationship is an attempt at slow-burn, but there’s little chemistry, and their dynamic is overshadowed by Arthur’s own journey. It often feels like an afterthought rather than an actual emotional connection.
The writing is so simplistic, and emotional moments don’t hit as hard as they should. Dialogue sometimes feels unnatural or expository, which pulls you out of the immersion.
It’s fun at first, and if you like overpowered protagonists in fantasy settings, you’ll probably enjoy it for a while. But if you’re looking for tight storytelling, deep character development, and consistent pacing, it will frustrate you. SO FOR ME IT'S MORE OF A GUILTY PLEASURE...

great read (although not everything here because there are incomplete chapters), nice fluid plot. Of course a bit long, but that's obvious when releasing something in season mode.

"The beginning after the end" is, In my personal opinion, the single greatest reincarnation story of all time. Taking a genius and putting their mind in a baby's body is the perfect concept, as it prods your brain with possibilities and opens the door for all new levels of growth, and also, its very funny. Seeing a king getting his diaper changed, seeing him take his first steps, watching a 3 year old talk eloquently to a king, its all very funny, but also weirdly badass. I despise cliche heartless main characters with corny dialogue all for the purpose of making them look cool, and Arthur is nothing like that. Arthur is cool. Arthur is badass. But he is also a child. Which is very funny. But also he cares about people and lets people into his heart, and while he does have those terrifying cool moments, he remains at heart a good person. As for the actual story, it is interesting to say the least. It's complex without being confusing, and the characters are interesting and relatable. This story will leave you shocked, whether by badass moments or plot twists, but this story will also make you cry, and i dont say that lightly. (Iykyk)

Pretty good
it was really good for a long time, but towards the end it got boring and weird, and the ending is just bad. It's like Game of Thrones, they just made some random ending because they apparently didn't know how to continue

Meh
I've read up to ch 187.
I don't really like the fact that more than half of these were a bunch of trainning arc chapters with the mc being as weak as always despite his talent even until near the end.
I do admit that it was good until the "he got arrested" arc and the chapters later due to the amount of stalling in these later chapters.

Meh
MC is arrogant, reckless, d*mb and there's no character development he thinks that everything is under his control, Everything he can handle. I don't recommend this manga because MC is just got luck to have affinity to all elements but he can't utilize it overconfident to his past memories he is nothing but an immature.
