I went into this with one review telling me its good.
135 chapters later I was not disapointed.
The plot is GOOD.
The progression is well paced
The characters are... Not as well developed as I expected, but they are far feom being stereotypical 2 dimentional flatboards
The female protagonist ACTUALLY WORKS FOR IT. No powers fallen from the sky. No level up giving instantanious talent. Acrually hard work with a monthly timeline.
THEY ACTUALLY FOLOW A TIMELINE.
This was everything I wanted and more, because even the romance is not forced nor the center of attention.
10/10 recommend tl anyone that loves political intriges and familial drama.

I've thoroughly enjoyed myself with this. There are some minor hiccups tho. Since you are sensitive, I'll start with the great parts about it. And then the minor problems. It's like boiling a frog: you gotta raise the temperature slowly, so it doesn't notice.

- it has EXCEPTIONAL intrigue. The scheming and the court strategies and the deducing and the sherlocking are, verily, its strongest point. The mechanisms are that of a mystery novel, but with a game of thrones inside it instead of murder cases.

- characterization is very curated, deeply articulated and, most of all, original. Their relationship requires 100 chapters of pure logic war, and the BAM. It develops. You might think it comes out of nothing, and you'd be wrong. It's been there all along and it makes perfect sense. It's realistic af.

- Tara is an excellent FL. Not infallible, credibly smart. Her visual design is sensible, too, coherent with her story and efforts. ML is a cünt, but the kind I would love to have in a jar, with a toothpick in my hands. He needs to suffer, and I love him so!

Less good parts, now. Don't be mad. Wait what am I bracing for, BE MAD! I DON'T CARE? WHO ARE YOU, MY MOM? MY MOM IS A STUNNER, YOU WISH YOU WERE THAT ATTRACTIVE!

Anyway:

- I sang the praises of the cast and the intrigue, but. But the writing is verbose. And that's coming from me. Good in everything else, yeah, but still too much. Gotta cut some repetition, gotta shorten AT LEAST the form, even if the content is great.

- the art, along with the cited great character design, has a distinctive and cartoonish art style, and I find it... Fine. But it's not the most budget-filled thing I've seen. That's saying nothing of the side characters, background characters and environments. Atrocious. On the verge of being unfinished. Misuse of 3D assets too, just to ruin it all.

Technically, it has slight problems. Narratively, it is impressive. Personally, I think it's great. 9- on the Ivern Scale™️.

Smart FL, smart ML, so much schemes, political intrigue, oh my!
After reading so much manhwa with the same rinse-repeat plots, this one is a storm of fresh air. It makes you sit up and take notice and then it forces you to pay attention.
As of S1 finale, this is, in all the ways, a 100/10.

I love this story. I'm a big fan of strong and smart female lead that have to actually make an effort to achieve their goal. Oh and also I prefer when the characters get to fall in love and not love at first sight, it's more sweet and credible.

Current I am on now is Chapter 31..but I felt like giving my thoughts on the matter for now.

I love how they made the fl plus size and not the generic ones in all the mangas and namhwas manuahs.

And the story progression is also good. Not slow or fast paced. Just about right that it keeps you hooked

Story 10/10 ✨ Slow burn romance but i actually didn't feel the necessity of rushed romance because the story itself is sooo good✨ I'm constantly on the edge to see what'll happen next because the FL doesn't have a plot armour that'll help her get out easily or the ML who blindly do anything for FL, they're both calculative and strong in sense of both physically and mentally✨ Also bonus points for not making the "I wanna lose weight cuz I'm ugly", she acknowledged she was pretty and losing weight was a goal to maintain her health and gain muscles instead. Absolutely love Tara and Kyle 💛 this is a masterpiece 🙇🏻

Slow romance so maybe people might drop it but personally its unique and I like it. The storyline is not to abrupt and focused on the plot or mystery before the romance begin but it makes me curious.
